A busy end to my trip!

Last week was such a wonderful way to end the amazing LA adventure that I was so lucky to go on! On Saturday I had a magazine photo shoot. It was pouring rain and the shoot was out side, it was so much fun! Rain is my favorite weather:). It was for an editorial spread, so it was very, very high fashion . They actually made it look like I had no eye brows which was pretty unique! I had 7 looks and very intense hair and make up, so the shoot took about 8 hours. Everyone in the crew was super talented and we all had a lot of fun together, I am very, VERY excited to see the pictures! I got a peak at a few but unfortunately I can't post them online before their published or I will get in a lot of trouble.

On Sunday I was in a Jackson Guthy music video!! Jackson Guthy is said to be the next Pop sensation. He is 17 and ultra talented, I was so lucky to get picked to be in the video! The video was in this AMAZING ranch in Santa Barbra. It was on top of a mountain and looked over the ocean, I was in love it was my dream house. Really all I had to do for the video was dance and act like I was having a lot of fun at a "high school party". The funny thing about is everyone was about 21 except for me, we all just looked like we were really young. The whole crew rocked and I became friends with a lot of amazing people! It was so cool hanging out with actors vs. models. They are SO different from each other! They aren't bad differences, just very obvious. Models are a little more calm and very put together where actors are still put together but like to be loud...VERY loud! We got yelled at a few times because we were behind the scenes playing patty cake due to extreme boredum and we got too loud..oops! For some reason they let Jackson choose the food for the whole crew, so being a 17 year old boy he picked candy, soda and fruit snacks. We were on set for about 10 hours, so by the end we we shriveled up with hunger. As we were walking to the shuttle to take us back to LA we walked by a pizza man. We happily stole Jacksons pizza and have a feast on the drive back. This was my first acting job, so I was really nervous. Luckily my impeccable dance skills helped me blend in perfectly, just kidding. But really it wasn't that bad. The video should be out soon and I will be sure to post in the minute its published!!

The day after the video, Monday, My mom, dad and I went to Disneyland! It was a very eventful day. I convinced my parents to stay until midnight to get the completely Disney experience. We went on nearly every ride, some even twice, and were all in a coma the next day. It was the Disney hang over, it was pretty awful actually.

On Tuesday we ate lunch at a Famous hot dog stand called Pinks Hot Dogs. It just happened to be the day that Leeza Gibbons was there presenting her "featured" hot dog. My dad gladly ordered her hot dog and got to be interviewed for her TV show! That will be airing in March, and I will be sure to put it up here when it does. He had a pretty spiffy hot dog speech.

On Wednesday I had an audition for a BMW commercial.  I am still very new to acting, and to say the least I do not think I got the job. My instructions were simple; just sit on the chair and act like I was in the front seat of the car driving some place really cool. The casting director told me to just say some simple dialogue that I would say if I were sitting in the car. He also told me that at some point of the audition I should act like my favorite song came on the radio. I walked in with a LOT of confidence completely convinced that I would get the job, but then I got a little bit nervous. I sat down and had a complete brain fart and had no idea what to say, so I screamed “Look, a UFO!!” and pointed out of the imaginary window. I realized what I just said and started to laugh, then eventually re-settled and continued to ride my fold-up chair BMW. I then said “ugh this drive is so long, but at least I am in this luxurious BMW” and followed that by a convincing eye brow raise. After that, it was time to turn on the music. I reached my hand forward and pretended to crank up the tunes. I head bobbed so hard that my neck was actually sore for a while afterwards. I got the standard “thank you, we will be in touch” as I left the casting and am very confident that they were not impressed, but that’s okay! It was an experience that I will be reminded of each time I get into my moms beemer.

Shortly after Wednesday came Thursday which was Thanksgiving. We ate dinner at Kailey's boyfriends' house in Fallbrook (Orange County). It was delicious, and I had a lot of fun hanging out with Eric's little brothers. His whole family is really amazing and I am so happy Kailey found such a great guy.

I was planning on going back home to Colorado on December 1st , but a job that I had planned for got delayed which allowed us to come home earlier. We have been driving since yesterday and I will be home by tonight! I am so blessed that I got to have such an amazing experience in Los Angeles. My mom, dad, sister, agents, and all of the other incredible people in my life are the reason that I could have such a perfect adventure and I am so thankful for that. Los Angeles was a memory that will last my entire life and I can't wait for the other modeling memories that will be created in the future. It was bitter sweet leaving LA. I am ridiculously home sick, but I am also so sad to be leaving such an incredible city behind. Every great thing comes to an end, and I'm happy to say that that was only the beginning of so many more experiences. As of right now there are no official plans for the Spring, but Asia and New York are in big consideration right now. Thank you so all of those amazing people in my life supporting my career, you are all so amazing :). This is NOT my last blog! I will update on jobs I do in Colorado, published work from LA, and what ever path I take in the future. <3

Hot Topic and Cerisier

I have had such an amazing past 2 days! Yesterday I got called in the morning for a company called Cerisier, a Japanese hair brush company. They called me so last minute because the model that they hired had short hair, and they needed long hair for that particular shoot. I woke up and zoomed over to their studio. The shoot was really fun! It was mostly beauty shots and videos. The videos will be on a commercial in Japan! The whole crew was pretty laid back but still really fun. They brought an "authentic japanese lunch" for us...I'm not sure what I ate, but I didn't feel good for the rest of the night ha, but I survived! I haven't seen any of the pictures from yesterday and can't wait to see them! Shortly after the shoot, my agent called me and said that I got a direct booking from the company Hot Topic, I was so so so excited! I barley slept at all last night because I have never worked for such a big brand. My call time was 9am but then morning my mom checked her email and it got switched to 8:30, and in LA, 30 minutes can make a HUGE difference because of traffic! We rushed out of the condo as fast as possible and were on our way. I think my mom was going to throw up with nerves and stress when we pulled up to a truck loading zone at 8:25, luckily Hot Topic was in the same building just down the parking lot a little bit. The building was so cool! It was huge and the security was super high. Everything was really animated and gothic, something completely different than what I am used to, but it was surprising to see that not one of the employees were gothic! The studio was in the back of their huge marketing headquarters. They had 3 studios actually, we were in the medium sized one (still quite large). They started my hair and make up almost immediately. The unique thing about Hot Topic is for their catalog they shoot it lips down, so my eyes did not make it in any of the shots. As you could imagine, that made make up really easy. All they did was put lip stick on me and my makeup was all set. My hair had a completely different story. They wanted pink hair, so they put water and chalk in it. The hair stylist literally divided my hair up in to a ton of tiny little strands, got each strand wet with water and rubbed the painting chalk all over it. My hair feels like sand paper, but it's pink so it looks cool. She warned me that blonde hair some times absorbs the color of the chalk, I guess I'll find out tomorrow morning if that happened :P. I wore about 50 different outfits, I was puckered out by the end! Catalog is pretty fun but it gets a little boring because your poses are confined in a little box which doesn't allow much movement, and they have to be pretty generic. Editorial and lifestyle are much more fun. I was at the shoot for almost 7 hours and really enjoyed it! I am so thankful to have gotten the opportunity to work with such an awesome brand! I am so happy and loved working for them! After the shoot my mom picked me up and we walked around the star walk at hollywood and got some dinner. When we got back we rode up the elevator with a really sick woman who informed us that she was sick because there has been a body in the apartment next to her for about 5 weeks that was just discovered, it's so freaky! Luckily it is nowhere near our condo, but it is still in the same building which kind of freaks me out. He died of natural causes so that means there are no murderers in our building, thank goodness! I feel really bad for the man and hope he is safely in Heaven! On a complete opposite, happier note, I have a casting for a music video tomorrow and a full day of school unless another job comes up. My dad is coming to LA on Friday and on Saturday night I am in a Runway show! I go home in just over a week I can not wait!! :)

November 12

Yesterday was my 17th birthday. I got to go to Disney Land with my best friend Jane and her parents, my awesome friend Ricardo, and my mom:). It was such an incredible birthday! I had so much fun and am super sleepy today! I am so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life! I got a polaroids camera for my birthday, and I am obsessed with it! Once I figure out how to clearly scan the photo's I will upload them on to here. Thank you for all of those who sent me such incredible birthday wishes!

Last week I did several test shoots with Douglas Robert. He is such an amazing photographer and I am so excited about the pictures he took! Here are a few of them!

I also did my first ever shoot with a boy last week! Ricardo (my photographer dad) shot it! The boy was his nephew, a seriously beautiful man. I was really nervous at first because I wasn't sure how to work with a guy, but it went very smoothly and I feel like the pictures turned out really cool! I don't have any edits yet, but I have a behind the scenes shot and will attach edits as soon as I get them!

I come home in a little less than two weeks, I am SO excited! I love LA and have been having so much fun with all of the people that I have met out here, but I am ready to be back in the mountains! We will start driving home the day after Thanksgiving. With only 2 weeks left, my schedule is filling up really quick as I am getting quite busy, which is really fun! Several clients want to use me and I am being considered for a really big magazine shoot right now! :D When I get home I have 2 runway shows in Aspen and one in Pueblo, then my life should slow down for a little bit. I'm trying to convince my parents to allow me to go to New York in January for my Christmas present and to meet with agencies out there! Either way, I am so excited for another beautiful Colorado Christmas. I will keep to date about my next two weeks here in LA! :)

P.S. I just created a Twitter and I have no idea how to use it, if anyone else has one follow me! :) My username is KassidyFischer

Under Water Shoot

Yesterday I felt like I was on America's Next Top Model. I did an under water mermaid shoot for Deborah Lindquist! We did the shoot in the photographer's friends' beautiful house. The house was so big that we actually thought it was an apartment building when we drove up to it!I attached a picture of the main room of the house. I would probably trade the studio my mom and I are living in for that house, just maybe!

I'm not a very good swimmer, at all. I have mastered the doggy paddle and that's about it. For some reason when I heard "under water shoot" I truly believed that all of my snorkeling and tubing experience would make me a really awesome swimmer! I was slightly wrong! My first issue is that I couldn't figure out how to get to the bottom with out floating up right away. I kept going under as fast as I could to popping up on the surface a few seconds later. Eventually the photographer realized my problem so she gave me a weight to hold me down. I literally almost drowned as I jumped into the water holding the 10 lb. weight, so the assistant swam over and took it from me. She's a little more water blessed than me! I think this was the hardest shoot I've ever done because it was so far out of my natural element, but I did have a lot of fun doing it! I eventually figured out that if I blow out all of my air I could stay down a little longer. To pose, it basically required anything that feels "foldy and awkward".  I had three beautiful outfits and got to work with another model form London who was absolutely amazing! I couldn't see for about 2 hours after the shoot because the water (salt water) was so harsh, but eventually some eye drops got my sight back and I survived! I did not get the chance to see ANY pictures, so I'm really anxious for them to get edited! I will post them as soon as they do :)

SOXXY :)

A while back I did a shoot for a brand called SOXXY. I think that they have the coolest socks on earth, and was so excited to model for them. If you would like to see my work and who they are, go to their website! http://soxxy.com/soxpert-kassidy/ I had so much fun working for them and I wear the socks that they gave me all of the time. I can't wait to work for them again one day! Thank you so much for everything Soxxy!

2 shoots in 1 day!

Today was super fun! I had 2 shoots today and worked with 7 photographers. One of the shoots was ran by a photographer from Aspen named Dove Shore...that's his REAL name! He was more of a short hairy man verses a dove,  but he rocks at photography so his name still works for him! He was running a workshop and I got to be one of the models for it. 5 photographers were taking the workshop so I had to pose so each of them could take a chance to get the shot that they wanted. There were all really nice and I made a lot of cool friends! The pictures turned out really cool from what I can tell! I took a picture of the pictures to give a sneak peak (these are not edited)

After my shoot with Dove I traveled down the coast where I got to do a shoot with my awesome friend Douglas Robert. We were just shooting for fun but we got a lot of really cool pictures from it! I'm excited to see the rest of them :D I attached a few pictures (unedited, pictures of pictures)

I can't wait to get all of the edits from today! Tomorrow I am doing a job for Deborah Lindquist. The shoot is going to be mermaid themed and is being photographed under water! I'm not the most gifted swimmer, but I'm still very excited! I have never done an under water shoot so it will be interesting to see how the pictures turn out!

Work, School, and Fun!

Hey! I wanted to thank everyone who's been reading my blog! I'm at 3,500 views which is so crazy! It means so much to me to have so much support to what I'm doing.

It's been over a week I have been so busy I haven't even had time to write in my blog, but I'm back :). This past week was super fun! I caught up in school a lot, went to castings, and had a lot of free time to just hang out! Last weekend my dad was in town and we went sailing with our family friends and it was sooo much fun! I also adopted a big brother which was nice :) We were out by San Pedro, it was so beautiful! There was a couple of near-death experiences where I was 99% sure I was going to roll off of the boat, but I made it through it! It was a bummer sending my dad home but he comes back in 2 weeks and I go home shortly after that!

Last Monday I met with an agency from South Korea and they want me to come out March-April 2013! I really hope it works out! I am SO excited! It's so amazing to even be able to consider an opportunity like that, I am so happy that I have such an amazing agent, family and friends backing me up on all of these crazy adventures!

Halloween was really awesome! My mom and I went to the Santa Monica "block party" along with 400,000 other people. My mom dressed up as a big baby and I dressed up as a barbie. We literally just walked the distance of the party and were pooped out! It was really funny sight-seeing all of the crazy costumes people came up with here! There was a big minion, a dragon, a giant wiener (which was quite the popular costume, don't worry I got a picture), and soooo many more! My personal favorite was the fat man dressed in nothing but a tutu...I thought it was gross, but funny!

My birthday is in one week and I am so excited to go to Disney Land with my best friend Jane and her mom, my mom and Ricardo!!

I had some big castings last week and I think the clients really liked me, I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I'll keep up to date about any new jobs.

Tomorrow I have two photo shoots and a LOT of homework, it should be a very busy day! I'm not too sure what all will be happening this coming week, but hopefully it will be a good one:)

My sister and her boyfriend are traveling Thailand right now! I hear they are having an amazing time exploring and can't wait to see them at Christmas. I love you Kailey!
*Here are Kailey and Eric and their friends Brett and Addie in Thailand at the Full Moon festival
